Last week’s schedule
The last week (5th week) of the 300 hour Training schedule is devoted to meditation and silence. This course is designed for yoga teachers who are willing to dive deeper into themselves. This intensity is specifically designed to expedite ones understanding of the Self.
“Particularly for teachers, I feel to teach, one needs to take on the commitment to themselves of self exploration and mindfulness. As much as we are all doing the best we can, our commitment lies in our ability to have the courage to put the self awareness of ourselves as a priority. Starting at this point we can then guide others to the best of our ability, under no illusions of grandeur, ego or our own agendas.”
“When we choose to teach, we have an added responsibility to give the best service that we can. Number one is preparation of the teaching vehicle in body, mind and emotions. We need to start with ourselves first. This is not selfish. It is getting the home in order. When we gain more understanding of oneself we are then in more of a position to be of service to others.
Taking responsibility is something that a lot of us may not like to do at times but no matter what our story is we must get to a point of acceptance and self responsibility to be able to move on in our lives. It does not matter how much study of books one does, or even practice, but one must be able to live this truth day to day.” ~ Louisa Sear
“My objective is that the experience gained and the tools learned, on this training, will help the individual in the living of Yoga” ~ Louisa Sear
The challenging nature of our courses offers the opportunity for optimum growth and transformation, most importantly, is that the process of self inquiry is understood. We expect that students enrolling for any of our trainings have an understanding of the essence of Yoga beyond the techniques.
Our objective on this training is to encourage awareness of how the tools and techniques of yoga can bring about inner transformation. This process of change is not always comfortable.
